Stuyvesant High School students have posted essays about notable alumni on the Stuy Research website (see “Notable Alumni Essays” at www.stuyresearch.org) as part of a continuing project about the history of science teaching, research, and alumni contributions to science run by science teacher, Anne Manwell; volunteer alumnus, Paul Oratofsky ’59; and Research Coordinator, Jonathan Gastel, Ph.D. The goal is to link current students to Stuyvesant’s past, to document the contributions of Stuyvesant through its teachers and students, and to develop an archive of Stuyvesant-related primary documents.
